Trust us with your laminate installation!
Once you’ve learned all you need to know about laminate, found the right look and style for your project, and made your final purchase from Independent Floor Covering, all that’s left is your professional installation! Proper preparation is key to a successful job, so we encourage you to consult this guide and know what to expect.
The laminate installation process
Depending on the product you've chosen, we may deliver your laminate to your home a couple of days before your installation to allow it to acclimate to the temperature and humidity levels of the room.
Ensure that you or another adult member of your household is home on installation day to show our team to the work area and to answer any questions they may have. Your installers will use a variety of tools & techniques that can be hazardous, so you should plan to keep small children & pets away from the work area.
On the day of the installation, we'll remove your furniture for you, though you should make prior plans to remove more delicate items. You should also plan to empty out any closets or drawers in the room. We’ll then remove & dispose of your existing floors, if needed.
Once installation is complete, conduct a final walk-through with the lead installer to ensure that the job is to your standards and to ask any final questions you may have. If you’re sensitive to dust and odors, keep the area ventilated for up to 72 hours.
